About Us

Founded by Lauren Deutsch and Lindsay Deutsch in 2007, the mission of the Classics Alive Foundation is two-fold:

Use unique and interactive approaches to expose young people at an early age to the wonderful world of classical music and inspire them to continue musical studies which will build the classical music audiences of tomorrow.

Support, motivate, and mentor student musicians in their musical studies in hopes of enabling them to be successful young adults and eventually successful adults. We do this by identifying hidden talent, teaming with symphonies and schools; mentoring young musicians; and providing meaningful performance opportunities to inspire and instill self-confidence in our young musicians.

We hope to accomplish our mission by implementing programs that support the whole lifecycle of learning and loving classical music.

Classics Alive recognizes that by presenting classical music in ways that are accessible and understandable to young people, music becomes a powerful tool that will enrich the lives of today’s youth and the communities in which they live.
